Zoopraxis Films and Spoonbill & Sugartown Booksellers present “it's been a while” 2021, a summer event hosted by Nancy Pop and Meredith Glass featuring performances by artists in film, literature, fine arts, and music from the independent arts scene of New York City’s five boroughs and a special pre-screening of “POETS ARE THE DESTROYERS”.
With CDC guidelines allowing public gatherings we are able to hold space together in celebration of the arts that lift up NYC and represent the people who live and create the humanities here...
This one night only event on July 17th at 7PM in The Atrium at Ideal Glass Studios (9 West 8th Street New York, NY 10011) will be filled with live music by Marcus Jade, cannabis from Highline Extracts, drinks, food, an interactive art presentation, and a performance from The Social Club Theatre. And at 8:30 PM there will be a very special pre-screening of POETS ARE THE DESTROYERS, ahead of its debut at three different international festivals. The art exhibition “Richard Hambleton and His Contemporaries: Al Diaz, Ken Hiratsuka, Scot Borofsky” presented by Salomon Arts Gallery will serve as the backdrop for the evening.
This is a ticketed event. Sales will go to the artists and creators. Tickets are available online for $20 or at the door for $25.
