NEW YORK CITY — Tennis Season is in the air and Ideal Glass and Red Ball Tennis are teaming up to bring tennis to the afterlife — and everyone else. Zombie Tennis, a theatrically immersive, community-powered, inviting guests to play Red Ball Tennis — a slower, beginner-friendly version of the sport — while dressed as zombies, ghosts, and other reanimated icons of the court. Whether you’ve never picked up a racquet or you’ve been training for the zombie apocalypse, the game is “so easy, even the dead can play.”

 Tennis Meets the Afterlife

Inside the experimental spirit of Ideal Glass Studios, Zombie Tennis will unfold across custom-built mini court where social matches are played in full costume. Prizes will be awarded for Creepiest Serve, Funniest Zombie Walk, and Best Undead Tennis Look. Between volleys, guests can enjoy curated zombie film screenings, photo ops, dancing and interactive art — a playfully satirical “closing ceremony” for tennis season that invites fans, athletes, artists, and curious onlookers into an unexpected new arena of engagement.

Step into IDEAL DROP, a visionary collaboration between Ideal Glass Studios and Tokyo Dolores that redefines the boundaries of immersive performance. Rooted in the question, “What is the definition of THE IDEAL?”, this production speaks to all who seek their dreams—even when the path feels just out of reach. Through the eyes of the prophet of the castle (Willard Morgan) and the seeker (Cay Izumi), audiences are drawn into an intimate atmosphere where desire, struggle, and transcendence intertwine. Acrobatic contemporary dance, poetic language, cinematic visual effects, dynamic lighting, and enveloping sound design merge —crafting an otherworldly realm where the cast and audience become part of a unified, living experience. This is not just a performance—it’s a challenging emotional journey into the heart of the IDEAL WORLD.

Known for organizing group and solo exhibits that speak to the universality of the human search for beauty amid the savage displacement we all feel in modern times, Susannah Lee Griffee presents The Only Way Out (is Through) at the Mansion at Ideal Glass Studios on Sunday, May 11, 2025 from 4pm to 8pm, her last show in New York City before establishing herself permanently in Paris.

This pop up art exhibit features painters Susannah Lee Griffee and Sean-Jean Felix, as both navigate their moves to Paris and Haiti, respectively, in the midst of global change. As with previous group and solo exhibits, “So Brutal It Feels Like Home” in 2023 and “Letters from My Mother” in 2024, these works deal with an artist’s struggle with family, a sense of place, a sense of belonging, and how to love someone even from a distance. These evocative paintings will be available for purchase as part of a silent auction, all bids will be considered.

Known for gathering intersectional community in explorational experience, Weed Auntie is birthing her fashion brand with a multi-sensory Caribbean infused Mother's Day fete at Ideal Glass Studios Atrium in the West Village on Sunday, May 11th from 2-6pm.

Bringing together music, collaborative art, healing activations, brand exploration, and transformative moments encouraging community connection. The celebration features soundscapes by DJs Riobamba + Sunny Cheeba, performance by Hila the Earth, “Breathe with Me” installation for calm by designer Annabelle Schneider, “How to Come Together” unity wool weaving with fiber artist Meghan Shimek, incense + flower crown workshops with Adanne Bookshop owner Darlene Okpo and muralist Sally Rumble with Caribbean plant based bites by Aunts et Uncles

In the throes of the Roaring 20’s, it was neither the bootleggers, Broadway producers, nor Wall Street bankers who held the secrets of the decade. It was Polly Adler, a Madam of notoriety who ran a house that entertained the likes of New York’s most powerful players of the 1920’s. From her beginnings as a young Belarusian-Jewish immigrant, Polly Adler ushered in the modern-era of sex work, becoming a successful and influential figure in her own right. Written by creative duo Felix Jarrar and Bea Goodwin, Madam tells the story of a young woman’s journey to find home, and the lessons she learns along the way.

Madam will be presented at the Ideal Glass Studio Mansion in the historic West Village. This exclusive experience is a three part event, and each ticket includes an invitation to the pre party, the opera premiere, and the after party! Join us before the opera at Polly’s Parlor for live music, games, and drinks. After the premiere, stay to experience one of Polly’s own infamous parties.
